Regardless of whether you're coming out to spectate or not at the fourth annual Memorial Hermann Ironman Texas (presented by Waste Management), make sure that you take the opportunity to encourage one (or more) of the Ironman athletes on the list below.
They are 72 of the 357 who did not finish last year's Ironman Texas, BUT are signed up for this year's edition.
Normally, I wouldn't identify anybody who didn't finish, but I wanted to give them credit for coming back out and giving it a go this year?
And for those 285 who didn't? Who cares (as we don't know their story).
If they're living life and being productive members of society, let me congratulate them too.

Also belonging on this list is a personal friend of mine, The Woodlands' Bert Blevins. He has a bib, but his number hasn't been assigned yet. In the meantime, he's put Ironman Louisville and Ironman Los Cabos in his back pack. Not exactly the most climate-friendly settings in the world.
